E.ON Next - Diversity and Inclusion

Energy is central to people’s lives, and with that comes an incredible responsibility.

By creating an environment wherein everyone is respected, valued and feels a sense of belonging, we will collectively take on this responsibility for our customers through our lived experiences and understanding.

We believe we’re all responsible for creating an inclusive working environment, whether that’s the UK Board, our wider leadership team, colleagues helping customers with their energy needs, or innovating and delivering sustainable solutions, businesses and communities: we all have an important role to play.

ElectraLink - EDI at ElectraLink

ElectraLink is its people, and our data-driven approach towards our work and colleagues drives a culture of innovation, collaboration, and open communication. Over the past twelve months, major policy changes including the introduction of gender-neutral "parenternity" leave, renewing a four-day working week, and company-wide diversity data collection have contributed to creating a more inclusive workplace for all. The employee-led equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) Forum facilitates change, combining colleague feedback gathered through multiple channels with data-informed focus areas to run celebratory and educational events throughout the year.

They focused on updating their people policies to go beyond regulatory requirements and be more inclusive of their employees from all walks of life and in all life stages. They expanded their Affinity Group network to reach four groups total, and planned their annual events taking an intentionally inclusive approach to help drive a sense of belong.

TotalEnergies Gas & Power - Twice Network

The Women's network 'TWICE' is responsible for developing, promoting, and implementing strategies that empower and elevate women to achieve their full potential. We believe that, especially in the energy industry, there is a need for an increased number of well rounded, female role models who will inspire the next generation and at the same time illustrate that women must take the lead in their own lives to achieve their full potential. All of this is targeted through open discussion, showing support for one another, sharing honestly our experiences, and having a collective voice to influence decision makers within our organisation.
