E.ON Next
E.ON Next has transformed from a loss-making company into a thriving business by implementing a strategy that balances caring for customers, employees and the environment, with business performance.
Over the past 12-months the workforce has united behind these four pillars to embed a new culture, improve inclusivity, implement systems, improve customer experience and launch numerous environmentally-focused products/services. Most notably Its £80m Winter Affordability Scheme (the largest in the sector) was also rapidly rolled-out to support vulnerable customers (2023/2024 winter).
With a step-change in customer satisfaction and financial performance, the company’s proving that caring for people and planet makes business sense.
Ecotricity
Ecotricity set out to be number one for service and to improve our service and engagement for customers through extending our opening hours, ensuring customer got a good outcome first time and increasing the knowledge and skills of our people.
We have delivered on our promise reducing call wait times to 48 seconds, abandonment rate to 2.76%, responding to 95% of emails in 2 working days whilst seeing an increase in contact and vulnerable customer numbers rising by 294% and a complaint reduction of over 500%. Resulting in becoming a Which? Recommend provider and first in the CAB league table
Electricity North West
Our pride and outperformance over the year has demonstrably moved from good to great, not just in the North West but on the national stage. Our work enhances the overall reputation of the sector through our performance, innovation and value for customers. This year has seen us realise significant benefits of a two-year transformation project since our new CEO joined in September 2022. We’ve seen outperformance across core business areas, going above and beyond with our best-ever reliability, customer satisfaction, storm response and innovation deployment with specific local projects now benefiting 977,000 (41%) of our customers.
Jersey Electricity
Jersey Electricity (JE) has served the community for 100 years, celebrating its centenary year in 2024. The year is momentous to look back on, with many significant achievements driving forward sustainability, innovation and community, underpinned by technology and teamwork. JE’s core objective is to deliver affordable (prices around half of UK), secure (around three times more reliable), sustainable power (already decarbonised, one third from certified renewables) today and into the future. Led by innovation and technology (fully deployed smart meters, award-winning My JE app, and data lake focusing investment), JE delivers this with sustainability and community at its heart.
